The Stoop
Before anyone pays to have something hauled away, it goes out here first — free, to whoever wants it. This is what neighbors are giving away right now.
Anyone can look. Asking for something needs a free account — that is how we pass a message between two neighbors without either one handing over an address.

Listings come and go fast — things usually last hours, not days. Widen the distance, clear the search, or check back tomorrow.
How a handoff works
- You put it out. A photo and a neighborhood. No price, no fee, no haggling.
- Neighbors ask for it. You pick who gets it, and the two of you get a thread inside Zeft — no addresses, no phone numbers, no last names.
- You suggest a time. The person who posted it suggests one, and it counts once the other says yes.
- You say where to meet. Only the person who posted it shares the spot — the curb, the lobby, the corner — and only after you both agree on a time.
- You confirm it changed hands. Only you can mark it handed over, and only they can say they took it.

How The Stoop keeps people safe
- No addresses, no street names, no last names. A listing shows a neighborhood and how far away it roughly is, and nothing sharper — a precise distance read from a few places would locate somebody’s front door.
- Neighbors arrange the handoff through messages inside Zeft. Nobody’s phone number or email is ever shown on this board.
- Anything that should not be here can be reported, and any lister can be blocked, from the board once you are signed in.
